Prysmian's annual report triggers stock market lash

The cable manufacturer's equity was punished on Borsa Italiania after publishing its annual financial report.

Italian cable producer Prysmian's equity lost value on Milan's Borsa Italiania stock exchange Wednesday, following in the heels of the company's 2018 financial statement, published after ended trading hours Tuesday.

In isolation, the manufacturer's Q4 report was better than expected but did nothing to change the fact that 2018 as a whole was a terrible year for the cable maker. This was also the case for its Danish competitor, NKT, which presented is figures last week for a disappointing year.
