Danish wind industry employees are in high demand. In an analysis launched by the Danish Wind Industry Association in the fall, it was evident that two out of three suppliers felt it was necessary to search abroad when looking for qualified workers.
And yet, Scottish recruitment firm Cathcart Energy is now setting its sights on Denmark. The firm, which is specialized in recruitment within the renewable energy sector in Europe, has so far worked out of an office in Swedish city Malmö. But now the firm is opening an office in Copenhagen.
"For years Denmark has been a pioneer of renewable energy, particularly in the offshore wind sector. This heavy focus on green energy in the region has opened up numerous opportunities for our company, and given the increasing demand for more high-end technical staff in Denmark right now, the time could not be better for Cathcart Energy to expand here," says director of the recruitment firms, Luke Westendarp, in a press release.
The office will be led by Nanna Bendixen, who has previously taken care of Cathcart Energy's Danish customers from its office in the southern Swedish city of Malmö.
