Vestas to repower three wind farms

As a part of restructuring its wind energy division, BP Wind Energy has sold three wind farms with a combined capacity of 430 MW to Ares Management.

Vestas will replace wind turbine capacity totaling 430 MW in three Texan wind farms recently purchased by asset manager Ares Management Corporation from BP Wind Energy.

The repowering order entails wind farms Sherbino Mesa 2 at 145 MW, Trinity Hills at 225 MW and the 60 MW Silver Star.
