Esvagt has received yet another order from MHI Vestas. The formerly Maersk-controlled offshore service company will supply the wind turbine manufacturer with a new Service Operation Vessel (SOV), which will need to be ready to work on the forthcoming Moray East wind farm from 2021 and forward 15 years. The contract is an addition to the agreement the parties entered in September concerning the delivery of two vessels for wind Borselle 3+4 as well as for the Triton Knoll projects.
This is the fifth time Esvagt will supply a vessel to MHI Vetas. In the preceding years, Esvagt Mercator has been engaged in operations on the Belgian projects Nobelwind and Belwind, while a newbuild vessel will from August next year get started on a 15-year contract wind the Danish-Japanese joint venture on the Deutsche Bucht wind facility.
