Ørsted presents new strategic ambitions and financial goals

The Danish energy company's ambition of expanding renewable energy will be supported by an extensive investment program. Ørsted expects to invest a gross total of approximately EUR 26.80 million in the period 2019-2025, and offshore wind is expected to comprise around 75-85 percent of the total, informs Ørsted Wednesday morning.

In connection with the company's capital market day on Wednesday, Ørsted's board of directors has approved the group's  new strategic ambition and financial goals, Ørsted reports in a stock exchange notice Wednesday morning.

"We expect that the global market for renewable energy will multiply by more than three fold up to 2030. As one of the leading renewable energy companies, we at Ørsted have a strong platform for taking part in the that expansion," writes Ørsted CEO Henrik Poulsen in the notice.
