Cowi searches for engineers up to US offshore wind boom

Danish engineering group Cowi is gearing up big in the US. The goal is to become a central player in the US offshore wind market, where the company estimates that the first factories will be built within one year.

Following several years of slow paced action, the US offshore wind market is preparing for the beginning of a decisive spurt, estimates Danish engineering group Cowi.

The company has thus initiated a recruitment round in the US, where the goal is to hire between 80 and 90 engineers over the next three years. The majority of these will be employed in Boston, where Cowi will be providing consultation on certain aspects of offshore wind project Vineyard Wind, which won the entire 800 MW tender in Massachusetts back in May.
