Turbine blade specialist to seek growth in India and North Africa

Danish wind energy subsupplier Polytech is chasing growth despite the continued price squeeze. Private equity firm Verdane Capital has just sold Polytech's sister subsidiary to a large gain.

Customers queued at Polytech's relatively impressive stand at the global wind energy conference in Hamburg last week. It certainly helped matters that the company's stand featured a gin bar. Drinks aside, interest in the Danish supplier of protective systems for turbine blades is at the highest it has been for a number of years.

Two years ago, the company was purchased by Norwegian private equity firm Verdane Capital and thereby entered a single-ownership collection of three Danish subsuppliers. Besides Polytech, the trio was comprised over JSB Group and Jupiter Bach.
