Vestas lays off 400 employees

The Danish wind turbine manufacturer will dismiss more than 400 employees to maintain its competitiveness.

Vestas will lay off approximately 400 employees to keep up with market developments, announces the wind turbine manufacturer in a press release.

The company writes that it currently sees a shift in growth from the more traditional markets to high growth markets beyond Europe. Therefore, says Vestas, it is necessary to adjust its global footprint in order to ensure that costs are balanced with activity level.
