Big dividends could be on the way to Ørsted shareholders

"It is highly, highly likely that a windfall is on its way to shareholders simply because there is too much money in the coffers," says an analyst of Ørsted shares.

Ørsted will have so much money that several observers expect the company to issue dividends valued at millions of Danish kroner after the energy group recently sold half of the offshore wind farm Hornsea 1 for approximately DKK 37 billion (EUR 4.96 million) and is currently also working on selling the grid in Copenhagen, which is expected to fetch a DKK 15 billion sales price, reports Danish business media Finans.

The Hong Kong-based major bank HSBC writes in an analysis that the bank is expecting extraordinary yields in 2019 or 2020.
