Legal cases threaten value of listed solar energy company

Norwegian investment company EAM Solar is heavily burdened by legal fees for several cases in Italy. The Italian market comprises a large portion of the company's value, the firm's just published quarterly report shows.

The outcome of a series of legal cases may be decisive for the future of Olso-listed investment company EAM Solar, which owns and operates solar farms, shows the company's Q2 interim report published today, Wednesday. The report shows that the company is heavily burdened by legal fees for cases in which the firm is involved.

The company writes in the interim report that its acquisition of assets involved in the legal cases "... has transformed EAM from an operational Solar PV YieldCo to a company where a significant part of the future value is decided by the outcome of various legal actions and litigation procedures."
