The US wind sector is booming after a very active second quarter, in which over 9,000 MW in wind capacity – including both projects under construction and projects in advanced development – are underway, writes American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) in a press release Thursday.
According to the organization, new developments totaling 5,322 MW entered construction phase in Q2, while projects in advanced development comprised a planned capacity at 3,901 MW – 9,223 MW in total.
