New York wants to launch tender for 800 MW offshore wind in 2018

Instead of two tenders worth 400 MW this year and next year, New York will do one big tender for offshore wind.

The US state New York wants to initiate a tender for offshore wind in the fourth quarter of this year, and developers and energy companies will have the possibility to win capacity of up to 800 MW in total.

The winners will be announced in the second quarter of next year, writes industry media Recharge.
