Ørsted surpasses Danske Bank in market value

The energy major's market value exceeds both A.P. Møller-Mærsk and Danske Bank's.

Danish Energy company Ørsted continues to perform well on NASDAQ Copenhagen, and the company has now surpassed both shipping gaint A.P. Møller-Mærsk and Danish bank Danske Bank in terms of market value. Only the Danish pharmaceutical major Novo Nordisk ranks above Ørsted, according to Danish business daily Berlingske Business.

With CEO Henrik Poulsen at the helm, Ørsted has gone from being worth a little more than DKK 40 billion (EUR 5.4 billion) at the time of the capital expansion in 2014, to having a market value of DKK 170 billion (EUR 22.8 billion), making Ørsted the second most valuable company in Denmark.
