Vestas gets repowering order for 216 MW

US-based conglomerate Berkshire Hathaway, led by billionaire Warren Buffet, has been window-shopping at Vestas. The Danish turbine manufacturer has received a repowering order for 216 MW from a Berkshire Hathaway subsidiary.

Vestas Wind System received a repowering order for 216 MW on Friday. The client is PacifiCorp, a subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway, writes Vesta's US subsidiary Vestas-American Wind Technology.

Vestas will supply 216 MW, comprised of its V10.2.0 MW turbines, but without the towers, as the client will be reusing existing towers from model V80.1.8 MW turbines.
