MHI Vestas CEO: we must grow without "disrupting" the value chain

"We do not believe that we need to rush towards the next generation and 'disrupt' the entire value chain. We will remain at the top in the current battle for size, but we do not believe that size is the only thing that means something," said the CEO.

Investments and upgrades of the current offshore wind platform are enough to ensure that MHI Vestas – a joint venture between Vestas and Japan's Mitsubishi –  is well-positioned in the competition for many years yet.

That is the sentiment from Philippe Kavafyan, CEO of MHI Vestas, in an interview with journalists at the Global Offshore Wind Conference in Manchester.
