Vestas has won an order for 442 MW together from US energy company,Xcel Energy. The manufacturer will supply 216 model V116-2.0 turbines and 10 model V110-2.0 MW from the fourth quarter this year until expected commission mid next year. The order also includes a 10-year service agreement, according to a company announcement.
With this order, Vestas continues its positive trend. Up until now, the number of orders has been relatively scarce, but on the other hand, they have been rather interesting: Four of the eight orders announced since April have had a capacity at more than 200 MW, amounting to 1598 MW in total.
