The Swedish Northvolt project has landed yet another investor. Siemens has entered a partnership for the development of next-generation lithium-ion batteries. This is part being done via a EUR 10 million direct investment and also by indicating Northvolt as a preferred supplier as soon as production begins. In return, the Swedish company has committed itself to use Siemens' digitalization system.
The news was announced by both companies in a press statement.
