Siemens Gamesa sends Danish-produced turbines to Japan

The turbine manufacturer boosts its Japan portfolio by 25 percent with the execution of both an old and a new order.

Siemens Gamesa has announced that 22 Danish wind turbines from the SWT-3.4-108 platform will be installed across two Japanese wind farms by 2020.

Both the nacelles and hubs will be manufactured at the turbine manufacturer's Danish facility as well as an undisclosed number of the 66 blades. The remainder will be shipped in from China.
