Danish pension funds have placed massive amounts of money in wind turbines, solar panels and biomass.
This move has proven to be a very profitable business, reports Danish media Inside Business after the media calculated last year's returns from alternative energy and infrastructure investments. The calculations show that these proceeds exceeded even those at several equity funds. For many pension funds, energy investments also provided a boost to the overall returns.
