Danish inventor Henrik Stiesdal nominated for European award

The Danish inventor has been nominated for a European Patent Office award to honor his lifelong work with renewable energy.

Henrik Stiesdal is a finalist in the running to a win the European Inventor Award 2018, where he is nominated for "his impressive accomplishments" in the category Lifetime Achievement.

"Henrik Stiesdal's inventions have played an important role in the development of the modern wind turbine industry, and he has helped make the industry a central player on the European market for renewable energy production," says Benoît Battistelli, President of the European Patent Office (EPO), in a press release (in Danish only) on the announcement of the finalists for the European Inventor Award 2018.
