Vestas peaked in the US in 2017 with market share over 35 percent

Data from the American Wind Energy Association shows that the Danish wind turbine manufacturer remained at the top of the US market.

Vestas once more conquered the US market as the biggest wind turbine supplier last year. The Danish company has four large factories in the US state of Colorado and delivered 35.4 percent of the installed turbine capacity in the country.

GE came in second with a market share of 29.4 percent, followed by Siemens Gamesa with a stake of 23.2 percent and Nordex with 0.5 percent of the newly installed capacity totaling approximately 7,017 MW, according to data from the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA), reports Recharge News.
