US state is aiming for 50 percent renewables by 2030

New legislative bill intends to secure US state New Jersey 50 percent renewable energy by 2030, where offshore wind and energy storage will be the main contributors.

A new bill has been partially passed in New Jersey last week with the aim of enabling the US state to reach a target of 50 percent renewable energy in 2030, reports Recharge.

The media reports that the bill still lacks approval from New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy and entails a goal to have 2 GW energy storage by 2030, as well as a partial target for 600 MW by 2021.
