Semco wins contract on offshore wind farm

The Danish company has landed an engineering study contract on an offshore wind farm in Taiwan valued at 1.033 GW.

The joint venture between Canadian power producer Northland Power and Taiwanese Yushan Energy has nominated Semco Maritime to develop and optimize the electrical grid structure on the Hai Long offshore wind farm.

Semco Maritime will carry out electrical grid studies, assessment of a number of offshore substations, sub-sea cable characteristics, design of preliminary offshore substation substructures and topside layout as well as onshore substation layout.
