US offshore wind pioneer challenges Ørsted

Deepwater Wind wants to expand its proposed project in Massachusetts to include a project in neighboring Connecticut.

The offshore wind tender in Connecticut has yet another contender. After Bay State Wind announced Monday that the joint venture had bid on a 200 MW project in the state tender, which offers up to 825,000 MWh, Deepwater Wind announced Tuesday that it had also entered the race. The deadline fell on April 1.
