MHI Vestas turbocharges Taiwan's offshore wind sector

After inking a deal to become preferred supplier for offshore wind projects totaling 1.5 GW in Taiwan, MHI Vestas is now hard at work securing employment for subcontractors.

The 50-50 joint venture owned by Denmark's Vestas and Japan's Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, MHI Vestas, has signed memorandums of understanding (MoU) with four Taiwanese firms for the delivery of wind turbine components.

This was announced after the company was named preferred supplier this Tuesday for offshore wind projects in Taiwan totaling 1.5 GW.
