Volvo Ocean Race struck by new accident: sailor lost at sea

Global yacht race Volvo Ocean Race, in which Vestas is a participant, has been struck by yet another serious accident. A crew member from a Hong Kong yacht fell overboard.

Volvo Ocean Race has experienced a gloomy year. In January, Vestas' boat collided with a Chinese fishing vessel approximately 50 kilometers from the finish line in the fourth leg of the race in Hong Kong, which cost one of 10 Chinese crew member's lives.

Last night Central European Time, team Sun Hung Kai/Scallywag from Hong Kong was also met with catastrophe. One of the crew members, 47-year-old Briton John Fisher, fell overboard during a night shift.
