Vestas installs prototype and upgrades turbine

The wind turbine manufacturer is launching an updated version of its best-seller and the new machine targets buyers that prefer a cheaper, stable turbine.

At Danish wind farm Lem Kjær, the new V120-2.0 MW from Vestas has produced its first kilowatt hour of electricity, writes the firm in a press release.

The prototype will now undergo a series of tests and a verification process before it can be sent to full-scale manufacturing.
