Statoil acquires half of two offshore wind farms in Poland

The Norwegian oil company has acquired half of offshore wind farm Baltyk Srodkowy 2 and half of Baltyk Srodkowy 3.

Norway's Statoil is now jumping into the Polish ocean.

The firm has signed a deal to acquire half of two offshore wind farms in the Baltic Sea, Baltyk Srodkowy 2 and 3, which are still in the early development phase. The farms are slated to have capacity of 1,200 MW and deliver power to more than two million Polish homes, writes Statoil in a press release.
