Vestas boat prepares for comeback in sailing race

Team Vestas 11th Hour Racing is ready to get back in the game in the Volvo Ocean Race.

After a tragic exit in the fourth leg of the Volvo Ocean Race from Melbourne, Australia to Hong Kong, Team Vestas 11th Hour Racing is now ready to re-enter the sailing race.

The team commissioned a specially designed new bow at a yard in Italy, and both the new and old bows were then transported to New Zealand as special cargo. A local shipbuilder in New Zealand rebuilt the Vestas boat, which will jump back into the race in the seventh leg.
