Vestas recruits country manager from Siemens

The wind turbine manufacturer is opening its second office in Russia and reporting progress not just on the new Russian blade factory but also on construction of a tower factory and a nacelle reception facility.

Vestas seems to have now settled its organization in Russia.

Setting up shop within the country is part of the general framework for supplying the Russian market. In addition to securing a 1 GW order for turbines, the manufacturer is underway constructing a blade factory, which will be 51 percent owned by Vestas and help the firm meet requirements for locally produced content.
