Ørsted in "exclusive discussions" about a major sale

The energy company confirms rumors of ongoing conversations concerning downfarming of the world's largest future offshore wind farm.

Construction of the world's largest offshore wind farm has barely begun and discussions of a partial sale could already be underway. In a corporate statement, Ørsted informs that negotiations are taking place regarding a partial divestment of the Hornsea One project of 1.2 GW.

"In response to speculation in the media, Ørsted can confirm that exclusive discussions are taking place concerning a partial divestment of 50 percent of the offshore wind farm Hornsea One," writes Ørsted.
