Siemens Gamesa wins solar orders worth 160 MW

The manufacturer has added to its second business in India with two new turnkey contracts.

Siemens Gamesa has won two orders totalling 160 MW in India.

However, the orders are not from the wind market, as they involve what has been called two major solar energy players. The unnamed customers consist of an energy company which has commissioned a 100 MW farm in the state of Tamil Nadi, as well as an independent power producer which has submitted an order of 60 MW for a project in Karnataka.
