US state announces offshore wind tender

After the US state of Connecticut has announced an invitation for tenders this spring, many are excited about the state's wind ambitions.

The US state of Connecticut has decided to auction off projects totaling upwards of 220 MW offshore wind, announces the state.

The tendering will take place with a request for proposals where developers can bid with reasonable projects in areas including New England. The bids must result in grid connection between July next year and the end of 2025. Proposals containing the use of energy storage will also be accepted.
