Departing MHI Vestas CEO ready for career shift

Jens Tommerup will make use of his decade in the wind turbine industry but also his previous experience from the shipping and chemical industries when he steps down from MHI Vestas this April.

After four years as CEO, Jens Tommerup, will step down from MHI Vestas on April 1. This shift has been in the cards since he took the reins of the firm, as it was written into the joint venture contract between Japan's MHI and Denmark's Vestas. Every four years, there will be reshuffles in management as well as on the board of directors.

However, not only the turbine manufacturer is reshuffling the deck on both levels of management. The same is true of the CEO himself, who after 25 years in executive positions will now make his foray into the board world.
