Siemens Gamesa announced orders for 95 turbines last Thursday and it has now emerged that these will be made in the US.
And this is not just true of the blades, which are usually produced at the company's factory in Iowa for US projects, but also the nacelles. Instead of constructing them at the firm's Spanish factory in Agreda, the nacelles for the many turbines from the G132-3.465 MW series will be manufactured at the factory in Hutchinson, Kansas, reports local newspaper The Hutchinson News.
