Nexans acquires Danish cable company

The French cable major is aiming to expand its business and a Danish company will be part of this adventure.

One of the heavyweights in European cables, France's Nexans, has now bought a controlling interest in the Danish company BE CableCon.

According to a press release, the Danish company is "an expert supplier of cable kits to Europe's most important wind turbine companies," and Nexans explains that the reason for the new acquisition is related to a desire to diversify business and be able to offer customers package solutions also beyond the wind turbine industry.
