Siemens Gamesa obtains France's approval on offshore wind farm

Wind turbine manufacturer Siemens Gamesa now has approval to equip French offshore wind farm Saint Brieuc with its own turbines instead of Adwen machines.

France's government has granted approval to Siemens Gamesa to switch turbines on an offshore project.

The wind farm Saint Brieuc is now allowed to be equipped with the recently presented 8 MW turbine instead of the selection thus far from the manufacturer's subsidiary Adwen, which is in the midst of being wound down, announces Siemens Gamesa.
