Wind power still booming: Offshore capacity to increase sixfold globally by 2030

Finans explains: A huge number of offshore wind turbines will be installed over the next decade. Growth in global capacity will increase by 16 percent annually, says analyst firm.

While the future looks particularly bright for solar power, as prices for solar panels and batteries continue to decline, there will still be plenty of room for wind energy to succeed and a large market for companies such as Vestas. 

Relative to today, total capacity of offshore wind turbines will increase sixfold by 2030, predicts Bloomberg New Energy Finance.
