Siemens Gamesa is in the final negotiations for contracts in Brazil to deliver turbines to four wind farms with total capacity of 700 MW, sources with knowledge of the talks tell Bloomberg News.
The turbines would be for projects that Voltalia SA, EDP Renovaveis SA, Enel Green Power SpA and Neoenergia SA are developing in northeast Brazil, according to the sources, and the orders could be worth BRL 2 billion (USD 619 million), according to estimates from Bloomberg New Energy Finance analyst Helena Chung.
