Innogy buys 2 GW onshore wind pipeline in the US

German energy giant Innogy has been on a shopping spree in the US ahead of Christmas.

German renewables group Innogy (formerly RWE, ed.) has bought 2 GW of wind projects from British capital fund Terra Firma. All the projects are based in the US and are listed as an independent subsidiary of Terra Firma, EverPower. Innogy will acquire all the shares in EverPower pending approval from the authorities.

The transaction is expected to be finalized in the second quarter of 2018, reveals the company in a press release, while the price is undisclosed.
