Vestas merges European sales units

The Danish wind turbine manufacturer has decided to merge its sales business units for Northern Europe and Central Europe. This means a farewell to Klaus Steen Mortensen, President of Vestas Northern Europe.

From the start of next year, Vestas' sales units for Northern and Central Europe will be merged as part of a strategy to ensure an agile organization which can adapt to the market and customers' needs. The new structure also means a farewell to Klaus Steen Mortensen, who heads the Northern Europe sales division.

Nils de Baar, who has lead the Central Europe sales business unit (SBU) since 2015, will take over the role as president of SBU North & Central Europe, reveals Vestas in a press release.
