Taiwan's offshore wind development has intensified in recent weeks.
At the end of November, the Taiwanese authorities issued preliminary approval for seven projects of close to 4.4 GW, to be developed by Ørsted and Swancor. Both developers had recently entered significant agreements, with Ørsted signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with two regional steel manufacturers, while Swancor entered a joint venture with Taiwan International Ports Corp (TIPC) regarding the development.
