Vestas to replace Italian turbines

The wind turbine manufacturer has been awarded a repowering order on two farms in Italy.

Vestas has won a repowering order of 53 MW in Italy, announces the company.

The wind turbine manufacturer will replace 59 small 600 kV turbines from an unnamed turbine maker with 16 of its own V112-3.3 MW turbines. This will increase capacity by 50 percent with around 70 percent fewer turbines.
