Siemens Gamesa to install turbines in Russian gambling zone

The turbine manufacturer is posed to surpass Vestas in a Russian race and will install a wind farm already next year. The project will replace Russian casinos and "will organically fit into the Don economy".

Russia's first large-scale wind farm will be constructed next year, as planned after a meeting held by the Russian country manager for Italian energy company Enel, Carlo Palashano Villamania, last Thursday with the governor of Russia's Rostov province.

The farm will boast 90 MW and supply an approximate 300 GWh annually.
