China's top player presents export turbine

Goldwind names the markets beyond China which the firm is targeting with its new 4-MW turbine.

Goldwind intensifies its efforts to win a larger market share beyond its homeland. The latest step is the launch of the Chinese turbine manufacturer's till-now most powerful turbine, the GW4S, which will have capacity between 4 and 4.2 MW and a rotor diameter upwards of 136 meters, states Goldwind.

"A prototype of the GW4S will be installed during the second quarter of 2018 in China. The turbine will be ready for international commercial deployment in the first quarter of 2019 and target markets include North America, Australia, South America and Turkey," says Tony Pan, CEO of Goldwind International.
