New activity suggests Maersk Drilling could sell quick

The sale of Maersk Drilling could go faster than expected as the market for drilling rigs is improving.

After several years of downturn, activity in the sales of drilling rigs in the North Sea has once again picked up. This will help Maersk Group sell Maersk Drilling, say observers, according to Danish media Børsen.

David Carter Shinn, Partner at Bassoe Offshore, which is a brokerage company for drilling rigs, believes that the increased activity could now offer Maersk an exit-strategy.
