Green activist groups enraged by EU Parliament vote

The EU Parliament's environment committee voted last night on its position in relation to the revised Renewable Energy Directive, but has been met with harsh criticism for allowing expanded use of forest biomass.

Elected members of the EU Parliament's environment committee voted last night to phase out biofuels by 2030, but also "completely failed", according to green activist groups, which disagree with the MEPs stance on the burning of wood for heating and electricity.
