Juncker lacks support for negotiating with Russia

The EU Commission president says it would be useful if he could negotiate with Russia about Nord Stream 2.

There does not seem to be any prospect of the EU Commission negotiating with Russia about the controversial Russian gas pipeline Nord Stream 2, as Denmark for instance had hoped, stated EU Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker Thursday evening during a press conference at a EU summit in Brussels.

"I don’t feel we will have unanimity on this issue in the coming months," said Juncker.
