Political strategies are currently being issued across Scandinavia, and transport is playing a huge role. A few days after Denmark's government launched its finance proposals, the Swedish government has now released its own, beginning with proposals for the transportation sector.
Over the next three years, another SEK 2,130 million (EUR 225 million) will go to initiatives in sustainable transportation. This concerns measures such as the development of fossil-free transportation solutions, installing more charging stations for electric vehicles, and a premium for those who buy electric bicycles and scooters. This will help Sweden reach its target for carbon emissions from the transportation sector to be reduced 70 percent by 2030.
