UK Prime Minister Theresa May said Monday in a speech to fellow Conservatives MPs that she wishes to build a broader consensus around the UK's plan to exit the EU.
MPs from the opposition – and also some from within May's own party – have said that May's failed attempt to secure a strong majority in the election which took place last week revealed that voters were against her plan for a clean break with the EU.
